ANTIQUE KASHAN PAIR

Mint condition pair of antique kork Kashan twin carpets with a beautiful architectural layout: mihrab prayer arch supported on coupled columns with a dizzying array of floral forms all around.

The central axis showcases a flowering vase above which is a landscape roundel, a very unusual feature, topped by an oil lamp dangling from the mihrab. At both extremities of the field we find horizontal sections with a sweet sky blue natural dye. Full pile, original fringes.
