Refund policy

We do not implement a refund policy but have a 15-day return and exchange policy, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return and get credit that you may use in-store or by directly contacting us. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with any tags that came with it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at outlet@hadimaktabi.com. Please note that returns should be accepted by us prior to the purchased items being sent back. 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Items should be properly packaged and sealed in a sufficiently safe and waterproof way that protects the contents of the package. In that case you have to discuss your concerns with us beforehand in order to obtain in-store credit or be eligible to exchange your returned item with something else at a similar price point.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. You can reach us for such matters at outlet@hadimaktabi.com.

Please note that the condition of items sold via www.maktabioutlet.com or its associated social and digital media pages and channels are strictly under buyer responsibility. We are happy to provide as much documentation and visual information as is possible and as is explicitly requested from us by prospective buyers. All new items are in perfect condition. All old, vintage or antique items are in excellent condition considering their age and handmade origin, but that should not deter prospective clients from ensuring they are in acceptable condition to them prior to purchase. Due to factors such as age, possible previous damage, restoration or repair, and natural wear and tear, and keeping in mind some items are old or antique handicrafts made by human hands in past decades or centuries, objects are sold ‘as is’, in the condition they are in at the time of the sale, without any representation or warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to condition by Hadi Maktabi S.A.L. or Hadi Maktabi Ltd. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item, but only after notifying us at outlet@hadimaktabi.com and getting an affirmative response. 

Exchanges of successfully returned new items (new referring here to a recent date of production) for old or antique ones (ie items produced prior to the year 1990) is not accepted. Old or antique items may be exchanged for any other items in our online shop providing the clients obtain our consent and liaise with us in advance.
