60 year old 6La Nain, designed and signed by Grand Master Habibian, wool and silk.

My grandfather bought this Gombad themed Nain from the lion’s mouth and I found it recently among my father’s treasure trove.

A TRIUMPH OF ISLAMIC ART AND ARCHITECTURE, THE DESIGN COPIES THE INTERIOR DOMES OF MEDIEVAL MOSQUES. IT IS REPLETE WITH SILK HIGHLIGHTS AND THE MOST GORGEOUS AND TASTEFUL OF DYE MATERIALS. IT IS A SUPREME ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT TO HAVE PULLED OFF THIS REMARKABLE CURVACEOUS GEOMETRY.
